venting with a stock mas is bad.. period, end of discussion horse dead.. you need a VPC, stand alone (haltech/aem/whatever) or the stupid maf set up as blowthrough on the upper IC..
greddy type S is the best.. no recirc kit needed, fully adjustable..

And what makes the maft so stupid?

if it was given to me i would use it, but from what ive seen of it (friend has it) its a pain in the ass to tune with.. I would still buy an AFC.. maf only adjust in 5% increments.. and has no display of any info or nothing... then ya gotta buy the blowthrough kit etc etc.. you end up spending a shitload of money to replace a 2g mas.. and ive seen enough people run 11s and 12s with the 2g mas to decide i dont need to replace it with the GM thing.. if anything i wouyld get a VPC or haltech or similar...
if course im only going by first hand experence.. not what others tell me.

Do you really need an aftermarket BOV? Won't the stock 1G do just fine and much cheaper?

The original poster drives a 2G.

So shouldn't the orignal poster get a 1G BOV since it's much better then the 2G and save some money? I'm just wondering because thats what i plan on doing.

Seeing what your friend has to deal with, is not first hand experience since you don't have it yourself. With the directions, the MAFT is too easy to tune with. It may have no display, but if you can read, and have an understanding on what each setting does on the translator, then there is no big deal. True you can run 11s with a 2G mas, but the guy was asking about venting with out problems. roughly 700 $ for the whole blow-thru setup costs too much? the haltech, and VPC cost more.
I do have the first hand experience with the maft. It's not what others tell me-as I have one of my own.
Do you have the maft, haltech or vpc? Nope, didn't think so. :thumbdown
