After safc install car runs horrible HELP!

So today I installed my safc II. (I used the correct wires and triple checked wiring) after installing and setting every thing to 0% I got in the car to tune but I noticed once I started building boost It started sputtering and at 5psi It was backfiring like a s.o.b. So after that I decided just to take out the safc, now the safc is out and the car still is doing the same thing!
I re-tightend my ic pipes for boost leaks and its still running like crap
Help!

Other then the SAFC, what other mods do you have? That could really help diagnose the problem.

I was about to say it sounds like a lower intercooler pipe has blown off but, you've already checked it soo.. TO THE BAT CAVE!

Edit: Backfire = Unspent fuel = Ignition problem. MY $.02

did you make sure the black and brown wires are at least 3/4" away from each other and are soldered in the right position?

did you splice the right wire for a/f?

did you "initialize" ?

you probably have, so I'm going to bet it's not your SAFC giving you problems.

yeah I did all of that and nothing changed. I even took out the afc and reset the ecu and still runs like crap
