AFPR Question

Hey Guys.

I am starting to get into tuning my car, and I got a question. When I bought the car, the kid who sold it to me said that it has an AFPR, and a 255lph Fuel pump. when I was looking at pictures of people's engine bays, I was noticing that a lot of people have them mounted in plain site. I looked everywhere for mine, and I can't find it. I am now kind of thinking that it doesn't have one, or could it be somewhere and I am not looking hard enought. Now I am starting to think maybe it doesn't even have a 255. Where else could I check for that AFPR, and is there any way I can check the pump. I am gonna Keep looking, But I may just conclude that I don't have one.
 
AFPR...follow the return line (driver side of fuel rail), if it has one, you'll find it. The return line is on the firewall. You could actually look at my gallery and you will see the AFPR next to the brake reservoir. The return line is underneath the AFPR.

The OEM FPR mounts directly to the rail. Some AFPRs can mount there also. Just a note, an AFPR does not have to have a gauge on it.

As far as the pump goes...you'd have to pull it to tell.
 
If the AFPR was put on the stock one would be dissconected right. I Got the stock gold one in the pictures So I must not have one then. Now I wonder what pump I got. Looks like I got some work to do this weekend LOL

Also if I pull the Pump will How can I identify If it is a 190, or 255, e.c.t. It better not be stock LOL
 
You would actually remove the OEM FPR and replace it with the new AFPR. Unless he used a B&M Command Flow POS...but the top cap would be a different color than gold.

Physically the 3 pumps look the same (as far as I can remember), so you would need to check numbers. But the OEM should have a set of numbers that start with MB stamped on it somewhere.
 
Ya I'm pretty sure mine is stock. I will find the numbers on the pump so I can figure out which one it actually is. This kind of stuff scares me, because if the kid lied about that, then he could have lied about other unseeable mods as well. I looked at the car before I bought it, and it seemed ok, except for a few minor things. now I gotta wonder if my injectors are even 660's. I have only run the car at about stock boost since I bought it last july because I didn't have a logger, so it is probably ok with even with a Big 16G upgrade, but it kind of makes me wonder. I wish I knew as much back then as I know now, because when I bought the car it seemed ok and ran great. Now That I look back I can see that the kid did some dumbass thigs like putting the spark plugs over the manifold, leaving bolts missing, leaving shit unplugged everywhere, and not getting it aligned after lowering, but oh well, the car does in fact run very strong, I love, and I'll figure it out yet.
