AFPR mounting opinions

hey i just ordered the aeromotive a1000 fpr, im looking for options to mount it. I could mount it on the firewall, but i think this is a better cheaper alternative to have it float like this pic. Whoever has their fpr setup pics please post them up. So what do you all think of this setup?

That set up looks fine.
Mounting it on the firewall is not going to be easy but it can be done with a little bit of fabrication:

My boy Rob (pimpngear) did most of the design work to make this fit, I just tweaked it. It clears the hood because I have it sitting at an angle.

should i make a bracket that bolts to the fpr? i dont want to break fittings or crack them from vibration. Thanks for your comment and pic

The bracket you see there came with the AFPR.
It was put in a vise and whacked around to get the shape it is in. Also we drilled two new holes into it so it could be mounted where Rob wanted it on the firewall. Yes it's my car, but I bought the unit from his girlfriend Karen and since he was going to install it on her car he'd already worked out everything he wanted to do in his head. When it didn't work out perfectly (hood wouldn't close because it was mounted too high) I just suggested we change a few things around and voila, it worked.
