Resolved Mounting AFPR sideways?

Seems simple enough but I have never seen the question raised before: is there any reason an adjustable fuel pressure regulator can't or shouldn't be mounted on its side with the fuel feed going in the top port and the return coming out the side? It operates by pressure rather than gravity so I can't think of any problems, but maybe somebody knows better than me.

The only thing I can think of is trapping air which is compressible and could cause an issue.

I had one mounted sideways for a couple years in my 2g 20 years ago. It was my daily driver without any problems.

If you look at my engine bay pictures you will seen mine on its side and has been for years now, no apparent problems.
