hey, i was just wondering what i should do in this situation. Currently i am running the stock T-25 with the basics. Intake, HAllman mbc at 16 psi, 3" turboback, upper ic pipes w/ a type s. The problem i am having is i am running super rich. I know a decent amount about these cars and am well aware of a AFC and it's uses. I had planned on buying an AFC once i upgraded my turbo. I was just wondering if it would be worth it right now, to buy one. Not to max out the T-25 but to make the car run just a little leaner, keep it from fouling plugs. Good idea, or bad? Any help is appreciated. :dsm:

If you are running rich enough to foul plugs, I'd say you have a problem that the AFC can't/shouldn't be used to fix. It is possible your car is freakish and runs a decent amount more fuel than it was designed to, but fouling plugs?

I'd do a leakdown test, compression check, and get a logger on that thing. Then go for the AFC.

edit: Just to give a visual, picture a huge boost leak, so instead of getting 100% air and 100% of fuel, you are getting 50 air + 100 fuel. That would make you run super rich. If you used an AFC to lessen the fuel, you'd be getting 50 air and 50 fuel. No more running rich, but only running 50% of what the car should be. Fixed or bandaid?
