I have a used aem wideband uego and the 8ft wiring from the gauge to the 02 harness is toast/burned off. I need a new one and cant seem to find one anywhere. I still do believe the sensor is still good. Gauge is stuck at 14.7,14.8.

The 8ft wire was to close to the exhaust and burn some of the wire. I don't know if I can fix this with cut, soldering/retapping the wires back or should I buy a new 8ft wire. I was thinking about cutting the wire and reconnecting it, is it possible to make it work?

I have a question about my aem tru boost gauge, some says that I will have to remove my stock bc solinoid completely, do I need to?

Thanks.

Having no idea of the extent of the damage to the harness its hard to say what I would do, IF it were just a small section I would just fix it. I don't see how it was burnt from being too close to the exhaust when they are made to take heat in a insulated sleeve. Where at in the exhaust is your sensor?. Take some pics if you want us to help.

For the tru boost. The solenoid that comes with the gauge will replace your factory bcs. Maybe you should read the instructions. If you do not have them download them from AEM's site.

Thanks guys. I got them both from a friend used. It was already like that when he gave it to me. He had the o2 sensor weld bung on the downpipe before the flex. Just about an inch burn and seems like it only burn off the insulator sleeve only.

Is there to test if the the sensor is bad?

I will try to take some pictures later when I get off work.
