Aem serial gauge

I just bought a aem serial gauge 30-4300. Can anyone lead me in the right direct for a kit that's sells accessories for it to access all the readings I'm told I need a plug to read air to fuel mixtures and a few other things. I'm sure this was answered somewhere so I apologize.

All wideband sensors(aem, innovative, ect) use the same Bosch sensor.

Is this like the aeromotive obd2 gauge?

There aren't any accessories. The serial gauge connects to the AEM EMS and allows you to program it & monitor different parameter outputs from the EMS when not connected to a laptop.

Yep it's convenient. After you're finished tuning you don't need your laptop anymore so you can monitor all sorts of different stuff through your gauge. Any input and or output from the EMS can be setup. From memory I believe mine's set for "RPM, Load, Throttle %, AFR, O2 Feedback%, Ignition, Idle, Knock cylinder, AIT, CLT, Speedo, & might have inj duty cycle too. They're regular gauge diameter & you can daisy chain up to 4 gauges for a total of 76. One thing it can't do is hook to the Gauge & the laptop at the same time.

I guess to get a reading for the air to fuel I'll need a wideband controller anyone know if this is true?

The serial gauge only works by connecting to an AEM EMS. For AFR's you will need to buy a wide band oxygen sensor kit from someone. AEM does make an WBO2 gauge unit besides other companies. The serial in serial gauge is because this is a gauge which interrupts the serial signal used by computer etc. for data streaming unlike the normal analog signal of the gauge you're accustomed to & confusing with. Unfortunately a controller by itself is not going to fix your problem.

If you're looking for a wideband gauge on the cheap, summit racing takes the aem uego and puts their logo on it and it's under 200.…i have both. Also have an lc1, there is no difference in them in my opinion.

Yes I'm very confused. Thanks for all the input I've really appreciate it. So I'll have to get a separate gauge for air to fuel mixtures. And probably pick up a boost gauge. Hoping that the serial gauge will be able to read all the other things I will need.

Do you have an AEM EMS, either series 1 or 2? Without an AEM EMS to connect to the gauge is worthless.

I have an aem ems that should allow me to log. I ended up buying an aem air to fuel gauge just because this serial gauge is driving me crazy

Yeah it should be really nice. Just the air to fuel part is confusing me. I've tried to look it up but I get a few different answers everytime.

I'm not sure why it wouldn't display if the ECU is reading the 0-5v signal. I'm not familiar with the software but the may be a lambda or AFR gauge tab you're missing? Hopefully someone can chime in

I'm not totally sure either. That's what I would think but I also think the problem is I have to get the kit that has the wiring for it which is actually more than just getting the wideband itself
