If there is such a thing. Well today i was pondering the thought of doing a boost leak check on a friends car with a newly aquired Big 16G. Then i thought to myself, it is coolant + oil cooled. Now we already made the boost leak checker for it and then I thought to myself, What happens when we spin the compressor + turbine blades to 20psi with the engine off, no oil running through the turbo and no coolant flowing as well? Wouldnt this cause pre-mature bearing damage? Lemme know what you guys think.

Turbo will not be spinning during a boost leak test...

(I hope the car is off when you try the test)

OMG WTF Are you serious? What does your boost leak tester look like?

You're just supposed to pump air into the system, not spin the turbo.

Correct...the turbo will NOT be spinning during a boost leak test.

I personally don't even do a test from the turbo inlet as the seals will more than likely leak without oil pressure to help seal them.

I test from the IC inlet.
