I just got the Greddy Type RS BOV on the car today and I'm not sure how to adjust it. When I loosen the bolt on top, that bolt just moves up the threads and nothing else happens. When I tighten it, it just tightens against the top of the bov and nothing else seems to happen.

I did a search but all I could find was type-s info. I thought they were the same but that info doesn't seem to be helping me. Any help is appreciated.

I don't have that bov but I'm pretty sure its the same as others. That nut on top is just a lock nut. You first losen the nut then use an allen key that fits in the end of the threaded rod and adjust in looser or tighter. Once you have it set where you want it you tighten the nut back up to stop the rod from moving. These bov are usually set from the factory, are you sure you need to adjust it?

I'm not sure, this is my first Greddy. I'm on stock turbo running 15psi and I'm hearing some fluttering. I was planning on putting it on the softest setting that would hold 15psi. What do you think?

I have mine on the stock turbo too. I haven't changed my setting and it only flutters if I let it boost only a few psi and then let off. It's a really quiet fluttering... I don't know if that makes it better or not haha. I wouldn't worry unless it does that when you let off after it has built up 8+ psi.

I was fluttering after I let off at max boost. I fixed it after I figured out how to adjust it, thanks daren. I've never checked for boost leak since thats never been a problem... I'm getting full boost around 2500. What would that have to do with fluttering anyway?

Also, is there a reason why my turbo spool up is so freaking loud now?

You might be amazed if you do a boost leak test, you may think you don't have any leaks but find out otherwise :thumb: , I know I have a couple times. I have heard that boost leaks can cause some bov's to flutter, not sure why or if its true but I figured it was a good idea to do anyways if you haven't done one yet.

Did you change just the bov or did you change your intake to a metal one? This will make turbo spool sound alot louder.

If you put on a K&N type air filter then it definately makes it louder. I put on a cone filter on my stock intake pipe and my lil t25 used to SCREAM its head off. Every DSMer around couldnt believe it was so loud. You could hear it driving down the road and your three cars back. It screamed loud and Idk personally i loved that. Now my 14b "screams" nicely for me too. Good Luck man.
