adjusting idle.....

i searched and could not really devolp a clear answer so mabye someone could help me out a little further? i have a idle problem and think i just need to adjust my idle switch. my question is what would be the way of doing this looseing or tighting of the switch?

You mean the screw? But yes you can adjust idle by loosenin g or tightening the screw...Loosening raises idle if memory serves me correctly..Make sure you unhook the negitive battery cable, so the ecu resets to the new idle..Don't go crazy and loosing three turns or anything, probly half a turn or so should do you fine..Phillips scredriver btw..

no no sorry i meant adjusting it further throght the idle position switch because it threads through a hole and can be taken out or in.

well thank you very much i will defintly try that adjustment and let you know how it works. but i want to know if there is anyway to adjust the idle switch in the opposite side of the throttle body from the BISS screw? i just tried unpluggin it and the car dosent idel weird anymore but insted it wants to die when i put it in neutral but it revs up once to keep the engine runnin but then its fine. it did idle at 1500 when i unplugged it but i set the BISS screw to idle it at 900 and it did but with the stalling problem i mentioned above,
