Hey guys just added a 190 walbro and fic 650s today and car runs like crappy now. I have DSMlink and set the LTFT's and everything seems ok there. The car smells of gas like its running rich but the af gauges seems normal most of the time or sometimes it will just stick at around .5v even at WOT .. Also EGT's will go up to around 1450 or so during light boost.. running around 15 lbs right now. Turbo is an evo III 16g that is ported ..

With the stock pump/injectors the turbo felt like it and was strong all the way until 15 lbs where i had it set.

with the new pump and injectors the boost guage still shows the boost builds fast and fine to 15 but the car seems to hesitate or hold back until around 12 lbs then it will punch a little bit but not nearly like as powerful or even of a powerband as it was with the 450's ... I dont know any better way to explain it.. I have attached a log of the LTFT cruise and idle time but It probably wont help out much for the problem with the way its feeling..just thought i'd ask for some insight... DSMLink forums are running dead slow right now or i would have just posted over there.. any suggestions or help would be appreciated..

OH also i just replaced the o2 sensor about 1000 miles ago... Not that this one isnt bad already since it was off my old engine but still thought i'd throw it in there .. i dont quite think it is the 02 sensor anyways since it ran fine until i made the injector/pump switch..

ALSO the attachment is a .zip because it was too large to load as the .dat so when you get it rename it from .doc to .zip and extract the file to see the .dat file... Thanks!

do you have a stock fpr? if so thats ###### why with the bigger injectors you need more pressure then the stock fpr offers

Sounds like your running rich to me... Should be why your LTFT are ok (because link is compensating for them)

Have you noticed your mpg going to $#!t ?

BTW I would most definantly look into a fpr...:thumb:

Are you sure all of your injectors are sealing properly? If not that could cause you some major problems. I know i had one with a blown seal and my car would hardly run. And its not that a stock fuel pressure regulator will not have enough fuel for bigger injectors at all. It has nothing to do with the injectors. Peolpe need afprs beacuse their fuel pump over runs the stock regulator, pushing in too much fuel. Although very few people have this problem with the 190s. The need for an afpr is usually only with a 255 or bigger.

Thanks for replies.. Was running too rich gas mileage was rediculous... I was under the assumption that the global fuel was going to compensate for the overall rpm band ..didnt realize I had to make adjustments all the way across... I did the tuning using the A/F Estimate in the DSMLink so I tuned to be a bit rich just incase the estimate is not accurate.. Also with that in mind watching EGT to make sure nothing gets crazy hot.. seems to be doing alot better now but still not quite as quick as it was on the 450's.. Thats ok though atleast I know i'm not leaning out .. I will invest in the wideband in the next month or so so i can feel more comfortable with my tune..thanks for advice... .. as for comments on fpr.. I dont think that is an issue and is exactly why i went with the 190 Walbro.. my goal is 300 horsepower .. the 190 with the 660's should suffice .. the AFPR is when your pump over runs the existing FPR ..and when you are running higher #'s and need to increase your base fuel pressure.. I dont feel i ever want to tread in that water so I went with the 190 ...

Well again thanks for replies.

Ricky
