Add Some Spice

I have a 91 eclipse gs and i am looking to fix it up and get it looking nice. i cannot really start doing the exterior until i get some cash, but how would i go about starting the interior painting and stuff? is there certain steps or procedures? and if anyone has any cool interior ideas that could make it nice and clean or good looking let me know.

what are your plans with it?

There are tons of things you can do to the interior, here are a few I though up of:
1) painted trim/vinyl
2)gauges, gauge faces
3)re-upholdtering the seats
4)racing seats/harness
5)rear sway bar
etc...

if I were you I wouldn't just start painting stuff to make the interior look good if you're really short on money, it ends up looking pretty tacky. When I first got my DSM I was low on cash and I re-upholstered the "rainbow" fabric in the interior in red and did some red accents on some of the plastic pieces. I also took the gauge faces apart, shaved off the yelow plastic on the back of the gauges that make them look yellow and covered them in a blue-like cellopane, now they light up a greenish-blue and all of that stuff cost me about $30 to do. It looks alright, but if I had another $50-$100 to spend it would look better

Now that I actually have some money i've added a boost gauge, tach, shift knob and 2 switches to kill the light to my gauges and that all came to about $160

yeah your interior is identical to mine. can you just paint that fabric part on the door? and how do i go about painting the vinyl pieces?
