Hey guys, I came across this clutch kit from ACT which looks like will hold the amount of power I wish to achieve eventually. Right now, all I have is a CAI system, and a performance module, but hope to throw on a turbo kit when I get some money and I'm looking for a clutch that will fit my car and will hold my goal power level and still preserve daily drive ability. The only problem is, that in the "fitments" description it only lists the 4g63 engine and not the 420A which is what I have. I don't know that much about the differences between the two engines other that the obvious turbo, so I'm wondering if this kit will fit on a 420A motor. If not then are there any clutch kits which are capable of holding 300+ ft lbs torque and still available for less than $500. Here is the kit I'm looking at...

ACT Eclipse-Talon HDSS - Heavy Duty with Street Disc Clutch Kits

Any help with fitments and/or comparable clutches would be great.

I haven't heard of non turbo guys running ACT clutches, so I don't know if they make them. Yes, you are right, the one you have linked to is for a 4g63 and is not compatible with the 420a. There is no reason a different kit should cost more than the ACT. There is a vendors page on here. I bet if you went to it, all your questions would be answered.

Well I plan to put a 420A turbo kit (probably from Hahn) on my car eventually, and I'll be needing a new clutch sometime soon before I burn mine up. Right now, it's only a stock clutch that is being used at right around 200 ft lbs and when I really get on it, I can smell it being overworked. I just don't want my clutch to go out, because it's the only car I got. Plus I don't want to have to spend another $500 on a clutch kit a year down the road when I hopefully get my turbo kit...so I'm trying to find something that will hold that power so I don't have to upgrade it again later. I noticed Fidanza and Spec make kits for my car, so I might even go with one of them...just ACT is the preferred. Thanks for the help.
