Hamilton,
I just got back my freshly resurfaced ACT pressure plate and a brand new street disc from Euro-Drive...It's 100% Kevlar, it's not an ACT street disc. I'm just wondering if it will be causing any problems using this disc with an ACT P.P and ACT lightweight flywheel...heres some pics of the kevlar disc...i noticed its not like a normal street disc. Its almost like its an 8 puck disc bc of the lack of kevlar in some areas...whats ## opinions? it costed me $250 for this disc btw...apparently, the guys said this disc can last an easy 800,000 km's....(im sure he meant D.D and not beating on it) LOL.

I'm sure the disc will be fine, it's the PP i'd worry about.. At2600's are known to break fingers off. Ask me how i know.

Wel i had the P.P inspected and pressure tested and what not....so IF the fingers break off..what will it screw up? what happened in your situation: how much boost were u running ,etc..

or chip all over the place.... ask me how.

HOW?

well I dont really no how its just ACT! I will never use any of their clutches in my vehicle.

I currently Run a act2900 p.p. with a southbend kevlar clutch disc. That disc looks identical. It has great street manners and seems to be holding up great so far! You should like it.

well this disc was ordered in from the states...i paid $250 CAD....so perhaps its the same one? U say its holding up great so far, how much PSI u pushing and/or HP ?? i assume this kevlar can take a beating...

yeah sounds good...its getting installed this week :hellyeah: but theres a 1000km break in period which sucks a$$...bc i wanna see my lightweight flyhweel in action and my clutch has been slipping for months now! LOL...but i will survive..ill let u guys know how it goes..

I got mine from horsepowerfreaks.com and I think it was close to 200 shipped. Well I installed this disc when I put my 2.3 in about 2 months ago and havent ran this new engine at the track yet, but when it was a 2.0 at 31 psi the car went 11.6 at 125. With the 2.3 at the same boost dsmlink is estimating close to 500ft/tq and 570whp. The car moves pretty darn good. I have launched it several times and have had no issuses. Also the clutch slips better then the act street disc that was previously in it.
