act 2600 flywheel stepping

i know this subject is all over and i searched and found many results, i just want my own clarification. with a ACT 2600 clutch w/ street disc the stock flywheel needs to be stepped, correct? i assume the flywheel needs to be resurfaced and stepped to .610-.612 what would some of you guys who run the 2600 suggest? also does anybody have the diameter of the flywheel, what is the size on it?

When using a 2600 the flywheel should be stepped to the stock spec of .610.
