I am having disengagement problems and i think the clutch pedal is not in the right position. Could some one tell me the EXACT measurement from the floor to the top of the clutch peddle distance. This way i can adjust the rod that goes in to the master cylinder and fix the problem. Could their be any thing else i need to try. By the way the flywheel was turned to the right step.

Thanks

Seven inches from the top of the pedal pad to the floor, and 1/2" of freeplay.

Lots of guys having trouble with these. Resolved mine by having an extra nut welded to the "C" backet that the master rod threads into. I had mine adjusted right to the end of the threads of the rod and it would barely disengage and sometimes grind. Now it's just like it should be! Mark

how long have you been driving it since then? and it feels fine now? is what you did basicly the same as adding the extended rod that taboo speedshop sells?

No. My mechanic tried shimming the slave cylinder rod but that did not help at least not by itself. The extra nut on the "C" bracket that is in the pics of Taboo'ssite is what he weldd the nut to an addd another to act as a lock nut. Man I tried everytihng and I have a new TRE-spec tranny, new X-ACT flywheel and new ACT 2100 clutch kit, new OEM master. he also bypasses he fluid accumulator that 2G's have between the slave and the master.
It now shifts perfectly with engagement at least 3" from the floor and about1/2" freeplay on top. Awesome and it shifts much smoother and quicker. Mark
Feel free to ask any ??? as I know how frustrating it was not to mention killing the synchros. Mark
I have the original master and the rod and "C" so he cold make up anoter and it would not cost you the $40. that those slave rods go for and it's easy to change the master rod. mark
