hey i was wondering what should i get the 2100 or 2600. my friend who is a mechanic said that the 2600 may be too ruff for my tranny especially with stock hp. im aming for 35owhp in the future so i just wanted to go with the 2600 but im just scared it will mess up my tranny... let me know what you guys think.

You should be able to go with the 2600 no problem. Its not so much the clutch that will mess up a tranny, its the driver. If you don't sit and launch the car at 6 grand all day, you should be fine. 2600 with a street disc should do. Launching a car does not involve DROPPING the clutch.. that is just asking for trouble..:nono:

Ha!! Want to know what dropping clutch does kiddies?

Teaching my little sister to drive stick on my Dizzum (I know...dumb idea in the first place). She decides she's a badass, dumps the clutch around 6k...car shot STRAIGHT to the left, ran over a curb, and hit a pole.

End result: 1 popped tire, 1 bent rim, and even more scrapes along the underside. Oh and one VERY dead sister. <--Obviously JK...just in case anyone thought my sister ACTUALLY died...even if she had...I would have brought her back just so I could kill her myself /rant

Moral: Don't let newbies drive the dizzum. Oh...and don't dump the clutch either.

yea i here you thanks guys 4 your help n comments. that why i need a new clutch i was practicing launching and about a month after i got it down it started slipping... i cant even do WOT in 3rd and up w/o it slipping or any hard acceleration at that. i never dumped it tho the most i would do it from was around 3.5k and i did it like it was suppose to be done.

Thats exactly why I dont let the gf drive it. And she wonders why...

P.S. Go for the 2600. Its the driver not the clutch that beats your tranny.

The 2600 is a better clutch performance wise. But can you handle the pedal pressure? It's pretty stiff compared to the 2100. In my opinion the 2100 can handle your goal. But it's totally up to you.

I have the 2600 with the street disc and I love it. Pedal is a little firm but not a pain and it launches with authority!
