well im probly getting a very high milage TSi, now im going to buy a new engine and swap it so while im at it for the weekend I figure I might as well replace the clutch since it may be damaged, so im thinking ACT 2100 or 2600, now I want to do a bit of racing so I hear the 2100 cant hold that much more then stock, so im thinking the 2600. but what are everyones thoughts on this? and does the 2600 make the pedal really hard to push in? it will be driven alot so id rather not kill my leg (but id get used to it).

Also since id be down there think I should get a aftermarket flywheel? if so what one? I think I should because then ill have a new low mile engine, brand new clutch, and a nice new flywheel so I shouldnt have to worry about much breaking drivetrain wise.

let me know if theres something id be forgetting to replace while im down there that I should, were talkin very high miled car here.

oh yea probly gonna throw a short throw shifter in there to.

and I was wondering while im here if anyone knows if theres a way to shorten the length you have to actually push in the clutch? I know on a s2000 I loved how it had a short shifter in and the clutch pedal barely moved.

well if you've looked it up at all, you'll find that the 2100 is recommended for FWD cars and the 2600 is recommended for AWD cars. ACT is proven.

as far as the flywheel, a lightenned flywheel will match your shifts better. ACT (chrome-moly steel) makes one that is light weight. Fidanza also has a good one, which you'll find is now almost as cheap as the ACT. It has a replaceable surface and weighs only 8 pounds - compared to the 18-20lbs stock one.

short shifter - go with the B&M Short Shifter.
also, get the symborski kit and stiffen up those washers under your shifter!

you know, using the search option can be really, really handy...
