I just recently installed my act 2100 and at first, everything was fine but im assuming when it heats up. The clutch pedal range decreases and decreases and at times, it feels like it's slipping. But when it cools down and i drive again, i can disengage by actually pressing the clutch all the way to the floor to shift but as it heats up, the range decreases. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem or am i missing something.

My Act 2600 releases close to the floor on cold start mornings, but whenevr it heats up (daily driving) my disengagment point seems to move up. Kinda weird, but I've adjusted it for a happy medium :thumb:

Check your Master and Slave for leaks and make sure that it's properly bled and adjusted.

Here's more info (scroll down to Clutch Adjustment Section):

I had the same problem after I had my 2100 installed. Basically it's just adjusted too close to the floor; I'll try to find the article.

**EDIT** Sorry, kinda skipped through the other comments and just noticed that you were already linked to an adjustment article :S

The only info I can advise based on this is:

I bought my 98 GSX bone stock.
I drove it 15,000 miles on the stock clutch.
I upgraded to a ACT 2100.
The clutch pedal required some but very little adjustment for a stock like feel.
I recently upgraded to the ACT 2600 after 15,000 miles on the 2100 and in all of those 15,000 miles I drove 120 miles one way to the closest track no less than 6 times with both FPbig28 and Evo III 16g, with twice as many street launches as full passes at the track with zero problems.

Not to say I never had system component failure but it has never been a new clutch as the problem.

The ACT 2600/Fidanza flywheel required a small adjustment also and feels and holds great.

Like mentioned above, check all the Hydraulic Clutch system components and try making a small adjustment on your clutch adjustment rod till you find the place that feels "right".

I personally like my engagement to be 1" off the floor...to each there own.

Another good test is to put it in 1st gear at a stop and free rev it to 6k with the clutch all the way in, if you move you need to have it release a little farther up until you don't creep forward at all.

I have installed a few act 2100 in friends cars and almost all of them have had the same problem, If it was me i would buy a slave extension rod to make sure ## getting full travel, and check ## system and adjust till its where u like it........
