accessories stay on when ignition is off

im having a problem that hopefully some one can help me with i have seen one post on here that was like the opositeof what my problem is.well here it is,when i turn my key off and even remove it my radio and ciggerette lighter will stay on."ANd winshield wipers if they are being used".Now its not shutting off like they ussualy do when you open the doors.I can come out to my car the next day and my phone charger will still b on before i even open the door.Has anybody ever had this problem or have an idea of how to fix my problem.By the way its a 97 gst

Used to happen to me before but opening the door did the trick. Try opening both doors and leave them opened for a min.

I'll try that and see what happens.

Well I gave it a try leaving my doors open for about 15 minutes and no luck.It just started doing this 2 or 3 days ago.

You might have a short going on with your ground causing everything to stay see if you can trace the ground wire and see if its connected. If not you may have to replace it

I was thinking the same thing but hoping that maybe someone else had this problem and it ended up being something simple.Oh well i guess i can search for the problem this weekend.It gives me somthing to do anyway along with replacing the radiator since the water neck collasped yesterday.

Have you got a radiator yet if not gripmotorsports.com has the best prices on mishimoto I've seen I just got one for 196the plus tax and it came with in three days

No not yet,but im gonna look into that website.Sounds like its not to bad of a deal.I think the cheapest ive seen the mishimoto's so far is like 215 or somewhere around there.thanks for the heads up there buddy.

do you have an aftermarket cd player? when I got my car the stereo stayed on and it was because of a bad wiring job... just something u may wanna look into

Ok... I'm hoping maybe we can open this back up. I'm having the same problem with my accessories staying on but not all the time. My first thought was that it might be the ignition switch. The first time I noticed the problem, I took the key out and the car would stay on. It did this a few times but now when I take the key out, the car shuts off propperly. I sat in the car for a while and it seems like the accessories, like all the lights in the cluster, come back on. I know I have a short but don't know where it is. Please help.
