So I have a 1g gsx.

Recently when i switched out the turboback exhaust with a full 3" free flowing exhaust... i accidentally tap the heat shield with the Alternator and there was a small spark.

After that-- my abs comes on and flicker when i press the brake and i can feel like I'm lossing power. My radio resets everytime the abs light flicker.

My car also have no power even when i put the ignition to on. I can't open the window nor does the seat belts go back and forth when the doors open.

I read some forum and believe it was the alternator. It is NOT the Alternator because I just bought a Brand new One form kragen and I also bought a brand new Battery rated At 700 at cold crank.

Still the same thing happening... I've also checked the fuses and they seem to be okay... I don't know how to check the big black ones though..

Is my ecu fired? or do i have some wiring prolbem. i've also cleaned and check all the Alternator wires and everything. Any help would be GREAT! Thanks

I would replace the alternator fuse in the fuse box in the engine bay. The fuse is designed to prevent power surges before it reaches a critical piece of electronics. Wouldn't hurt to change it just, its only 4 bucks. Have you checked the voltage from the alternator and the battery when the phenomenon happens? Could be a short or something caused by the spark.......which reminds me....YOU SHOULD ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE POSITIVE CABLE ON YOUR BATTERY WHEN WORKING ON ANYTHING ON YOUR CAR!!!!!

I'll take a look at the alternator fuse, however... last time i checked it was okay.

The car will have power again after ignition, however everytime i chose the window or turn on some sort of electrical module, a squeaking sound can be heard from my ecu. I tried swapping out a different ecu, and the problem still insist.

For now, I've unplugged the abs fuse, therefore i don't have abs, but I'm thinking maybe theres some sort of connection that is not working between my battery and the car.

When turn on and the alternator working, the car regains its state in which you can use the "power" features, the moment turn off, a screaching sound and everything dies.

So yeah, HELP! I've only driven my dsm for no less than 3,000 miles :(
