About o2 Sensors

Okay I'm a complete newb and I still don't understand all this o2 sensor stuff. Okay here's where I get confused.. I know that on my stock o2 sensor housing there is a bung welded on where there is an o2 sensor.. I also believe there is one somewhere else near the converter? So my question is if I buy a new exhaust do I need some sort of bung welded on? and where at? I don't plan on using a different o2 sensor housing but what about the sensor by the converter? Is there even one there I thought I saw one...what size are they ? HELP

well, the O2 sensor behind the cat will be replaced if you purchase a cat back system, I assume you will be keeping your cat. so it shouldn't be a problem because all aftermarket exhausts that I have seen already have a bung so you can just plug in the downstream O2 sensor. It shouldn't be a problem for you. If you go turbo back, that too should present a problem for you. It shouldn't replace the upstream O2 sensor anyways. Hope that helps alittle.

I dont know about that because on my Apexi N1 exhaust i got 3" turbo back and it came with all the bungs. I did have to however make a 3" adapter and weld it on where the catback meets the dp because it was only 2.5"

Well my downpipe completely eliminates the cat..what do I do now?

First of all what type of down pipe is it, second are you going to your stock cat back or do you have aftermarket of this as well.

you will need to get a o2 sim to elimnate the o2 sensor. makes the computer think it is still there but wont take a reading for it.
