Okay i have a 1993 talon nt 2.0 and im going to running forged 9:0:1 pistion's along with the venom-1000 nitrous kit going to try to put a 75 shot on it but im also going to be putting on 272/272hks cam would it be worth the money for the gain;s i could get from them also would it be smart to put a bigger fuel pump and the turbo dsm 450cc injectors if im running nitrous iv been told i should

If you plan on staying NA why dont you go with a higher compression piston? Especially since you plan on spraying?

yea really.id go with at least 10:1 on that.than you might be able to use those 450 injectors, but you wont know that untill you check your idc with the logger.i would put a bigger pump in though, just to be safe when you hit the nitrous.i wouldnt see how the cams would hurt though, but id get in touch with some vendors around the site to see if the lift they have will affect the pistons your gonna use.

Quick question that relates to this sorta...

In order to up the compression you would have the head shaved slightly right?

Turbo injectors can't just be put in your N/T. Turbo ones are low impedence and N/T ones are high impedence. WHat this means is that the low impedence turbo injectors will fry your ecu. You need to get a resistor pack to stop this from happening.

Also if youre spending money on pistons get higher compression ones and gain some hp for your money.

ehhh??? low compression is better for spray just as is with a turbo, why would you guys suggest high comp pistons for his application

High compression engines love nitrous. Nitrous is a nice cool charge not like a turbos high boost/heat. Remember that nitrous uses cold temps to create a dense A/F charge and a turbo uses pressure which comes heat.

I am not sure where you are coming from with that question?

And back to the turbo cams in an NT. NT applications usually use cams with some overlap to increase scavenging among cylinders. In a boosted application you dont need the scavenging because of the help from the turbo so turbo cams generally dont have much overlap. I am not sure about HKS 272's specs but I would think they would not have much overlap due to the fact that they were designed for a turbo application.

Someone correct me if I am wrong here, it has been a while since I have studied this but it all makes sense to me.
