so i decided to port mine eclipse GS 1992 head. so now i would like to know is there any limit with polishing exhaust and air holes? how much mm would you recommend to polish them? and how woul better to polish them? with what? tommorow i'm going to polish the head somehow :) so i need a little bit information :)

The exhaust is the side that needs the most attention. There is round bumps on the sides close to the valve holes so take these out. The pillar in the center can be shaved thinner and I even brought mine to a sharp edge. There is casting flaws on bothe intake and exhaust smooth those out.

STAY OFF THE VALVE SEATS it is easy to slip with the dremmel you are using and cut them. Or air tool.

I used a sideways cutting bit I got from the dremmel section at wal mart they are called Cut out bits, they are gold freeous oxide bits. There a gold color. Then use the drum sanding bits to smooth everything out. Dont be to conserned about the intake side and do not polish it because fuel will become un atomized and puddle. But you can polish the exhaust side all you want. Not really neccecary though because as you can see the carbon builts up.

Im in the process of a motor swap and my intake and exhaust ports are being done and the head is being shaved. I hope it actually gives an increase of power, has anyone everyone succesfully compeleted a full port and polish job and got it dynoed, or just noticed any significant power gains from it in there car. ( No matter their set up. )

oh but if you port your cylinders depending on how much you take off. Becareful that you dont let your car overheat because that will be def not good with a ported engine because of warpage and all kind of problems since there is physcially less metal to absorb the heat, if your just doin a manifold port job then you dont have to worry about that.

so today i did a little bit of work, so could you comment something? am i doing everything right? :)
