a/t tranny kinda new had a 5spd

well i owned a 90 gst 5spd and the timing belt went ruined the whole engine, now i jus bought a 91 a/t can i still use it as a daily driver and put the 3" exhaust, and intake w/ filter and mbc, all the stuff for the stage 1 setup and still have the tranny be strong....only if i get on it once in a great while, i heard the a/t isnt all that strong, but can i still put minor mods and keep it safe???

Heat is the No. 1 enemy of an AT and ATF... be sure to flush the ATF and check the level... This will most deffinitly prolong the life of it...

Yeah, make sure you flush the tranny. I just flushed mine for the first time since buying the car (I've put 12,000 miles on it) and the stuff smelled like kitty litter and was a dark red/black. Now the tranny doesn't jerk when going into overdrive and the whole thing is way smoother with a lot fewer delays. The previous owner had probably never flushed it out for the 48,000 miles he owned it!

an end clutch upgrade and valvebody mod will go a long way, talk to transdude, very helpful
