When i first got my car i went 95 in it down some old country road....but my brakes were pretty worn, so i didnt want to push it any farther, in fear of a car driving in front of me.
)
and thats accully a couple of % low cuz i didn't factor in my larger 18" wheels and tires.
at the same RPM are going to be going the same speed, one's just going to get there a HECK of a lot quicker. That's why this Q is in the AT section... because regardless of mods and tuning, it seems to me the only way to go *faster* would be to build your engine to reach a higher redline (without going BOOOOM!!), or have your wheels spinning at a faster rate at a given RPM . . . aka transmission.
