I'm about to buy a 98' GST and the guy I'm buying it from just put in a new clutch. Does this mean that crankwalk cannot happen to me?

no, cw can happen. but it is way overrated. what clutch? fwd should not be greater than a 2100 unless you have solved some traction issues (you will break the tires loose before you slip anything greater than a 2100). if you get the car, go ahead and remove the clutch wire on the pedal so you do not need to depress the clutch to start the car. don't 'ride' the clutch. don't sit still a long time with the clutch depressed. the odds are slim it will happen.

You go over in that corner with the monitor and start reading. When you figure out what crankwalk is, come on back and apologize to us for this question.
