A (hopefully) Different Exhaust Question

I'm pretty new to DSM's, having just bought a 2g Eagle Talon Tsi AWD. I am looking to upgrade my exhaust, and from reading all the threads I found through search, I am still not sure what to get. I do not know anybody in my area with a modified DSM, and therefore I don't know what any of the available exhausts sound like. What I am looking for is something like the unsilenced WRX here. I noticed that the Eclipse on the same page is not a turbo, so I know it'll sound different.

Will a Magnaflow muffler give me a sound like that WRX? Either way, are there any other recommendations out there? Please be descriptive about the sound, or better yet, hook me up with a audio file.

No, a DSM will never sound like a WRX because of the way their exhaust is. They have boxer engines so the exhaust is routed very differently than your average 4 banger, giving them a very unique sound.

I think your going to have a hard time getting your car to sound like a wrx. Wrxs have a very different sound to them in my opinion.

That's what I was fearing. Would I be getting a similarly deep tone at least?

Get a thermal exhaust (from any vendor), and a tsudo downpipe from ebay, they connect up to be a true bolt on. This is the best combo i've heard, my buddy has a WRX and its the closest thing i've heard. Thats my .02
