I'm currently trying to figure out what i should do next with my car and i was just wondering about a few things.
If i wanted to put a frontmount intercooler on my car would i need to purchase anything other than the kit like a type of fuel controller and logger etc, or would i be able to install it and go?
Also, same question but if i bought the blow-through piping from dejon and a gm MAS. Would i also need to buy a tuning device or would i be able to just install it and go?

Thanks in advance, Andrew

Just installing a front mount intercooler doesnt require that you need something to tune.
And if you get a GM MAF and a translator that will be all you will need, along with the piping.

You dont need to buy any tuning tools or equipment. Do you have a stock turbo? In my opinion you should upgrade the fuel system next and get a larger turbo to go along with it . Once you have the the turbo and fuel system you will really notice the difference.

yes, i have the stock turbo. So if u buy the blow-through all i will need is the piping, gm MAS, and MAF Translator.
And as far a the fuel system goes, what would i need to buy besides the fuel pump?

It depends on the fuel pump and also depends on the turbo you plan on running. At the very least a fuel pump, larger flowing injectors and way to control them and monitor I would say.

But do your research before you run out and grab a GM MAS, I've got a few friends that HATE their's because they are so tricky to tune and picky. Plus the 2g MAF can take you pretty far without all the challenges... just make sure you read up and make an informed decision :thumb:

ok i guess ill stay with my MAS i dont need another headache, but then again i HAVE to recirculate my BOV with the stock MAS right?

Do you guys have any suggestions on an intercooler. I was thinking about buying the Dejon upper piping and then buying the Dejon frontmount

Yes. Be a rebel, and recirc.

I wouldn't recommend going through the trouble of dealing w/ a GM MAF and translator just to vent to atmosphere. First off, the OEM MAF is better then the GM MAF for the most part (it's made for our cars). Secondly, your going to open up a whole new can of worms when it comes to properly relieving blow-by gasses and/or proper A/F mixture.

:dsm: :thumb: Yea, what you are hearing is correct. I'm guessing, but correct me if I'm wrong, that you only want to vent your blow off valve because you think it makes a cool sound, right? Well, like the posts above me said, that will make you run rich. But don't worry! OMG There's still hope. You still can hear the BOV, and it's still very loud. If you have the stock airbox, get rid of it and replace it with a filter right before the sensor and that will help you hear it more too.

As for the FMIC, you don't really need that for your car right now. That's one of the last things you need. If you want it, you can get it and it won't hurt, but your money could probably be better in other places if you are looking for performance. And it was also mentioned that ssac makes good fmic off ebay. Good luck.
