I have a 92 talon tsi with only 73000 miles and a newer 14b turbo, i try to keep it running smooth and have been coming across some reoccurring problems. First of my idle has a tendency to jump around and sometimes even comes close to stalling. I also have developed a rattle from my exhaust that i haven't had (Thermal Research Exhaust). And lastly when driving on the highway my seat, center console and floor seem to vibrate. If anyone could give me a little insight on what to look for that would be fantastic.

I would say tighten down your bolts, replace your exhaust or have any leaks taken care of at a shop, or do it yourself... and lastly check and see if you have any boost leaks, and CEL (codes)

Thanks for the input ill check it out tomorrow, any idea on the idle. i have no boost or vac leaks.

Check your ISC.
Theres instructions on how to check it on VFAQ.
This could cause your fluctuating idle.

vacuum leak will cause a shitty idle.

Yeah the BISS screw was my problem.
It would jump up to 24k then drop to 300 and then go back and fourth.
It was 11.75 from mitsubishi..
there is also an article on here about the electrical idle setup..

With the exhaust, it could be hitting something underneath.
So check that as well.


Your floor board could be like that from bolts that aren't tightened..

Go back and tighten everything up to stop vibration. This happens a lot in my car.
