A/F Gauge when hook up Bogs Engine Down Help?

When I have my A/F gauge hooked up to the o2 senser at the header it bogs down. Then I tried hooking it up to the ECM it did the same thing, any suggestions?

First make sure your using the right wire from the gauge.
Then monitor the voltage with a multimeter from the O2 sensor as you attach the lead. If the gauge makes a measurable change in the voltage take it back.

If it continues to be a problem get rid of it. It's not very useful. There's a reason we make fun of them and call them blinky lights.
