ok i just hooked up my A/F gauge and it kinda works. it just goes all the way over to the right side (green LED) and it just stays there the whole time and some times it moves back to the middle but then right back to the right. anyone have this problem before? thanks for any info...

i don't have my a/f gauge yet so i don't know how it is supposed to behave.

I will say this though, my friend one on his automatic 300zx and no lights are on when the car is idling. It just moves from yellow -> green -> red the more he revs the motor. I haven't seen the gauge in action while the car is being driven though.

Check your connections again and make sure they are snug. If you used an electrical wire tap you may not have a great connection to the O2 wire or you may have cut the O2 wire a bit and are not getting a good signal through it. I had a problem with mine this summer upon installing my wide band O2 I noticed it. My O2 gauge would cycle from stoich to full lean. When it should cycle from mid lean to mid rich.

what I did on my a/f gauge was for the o2 wire at the kick panel I used a male connector since the o2 wire has a female connector. Crimp the male coonnector to wire and put it to the gauge. Mine works great although its a bit annoying. I plan on buying a different type of gauge. Possibly oil pressure.

It looks like this (taken from www.plymouthlaser.com)....

Also where ever you tap power make sure you use the chasis for ground. I didnt do that and it caused some problems.
