I wanted to swap out my old ECU temp sensor (on thermostat housing on left), all I have is an extra a/c temp sensor (taps into water neck). They look identical, and when searching for the parts on the napa site, they dont list an A/C temp sensor, just 2 different "coolant temp sensor". I understand the A/C sensor shuts off the air when if the car overheats, so Im guessing this sensor will read a lot higher and could be a NO NO? Im lost, electrically retarded.

On my car there are 2 different temp sensors. One (the smaller of the two) is for the dash gauge and the other is for the ecu. Ild imagine the ecu sensor controlls the a/c shutoff.

Im talking 1G, I have three, 2G's apparently have 2. I have an extra one (A/C shutoff) on my actual water neck.
