quick questions, everytime i have my ac on and im driving perfectly 1st gear...2nd gear...when i switch to 3rd gear or sometimes 4th gear theres a funny noise that happens , im not sure if it can be a belt that the compressor may be running or if its the compressor clutch anyone have a any suggestions?

Only happens when the AC is on btw..

It could very well be the a/c clutch dropping out. As your rpms increase your suction pressure decreases. If your system is inadequately charged the low pressure safety switch will interupt the a/c clutch circuit as the low pressure limit is exceeded. Most auto parts stores have a simple low side guage/refridgerant additive tool that you can clip onto the line port and observe your pressure. Most even have a color coded pressure graph for easy reference.

1995 - a 16 yr old compressor...not impossible for them to start failing at that age, but it could be the clutch assembly since you got a direct metal to metal contact and after awhile, that assembly needs to be replaced since either surface has worn down to make less contact.

Oh, some DO like their AC ..... and not worrying on beating the holy crap out of their 4G63 motors...
