Every time that I turn on my a/c whether sitting at a light or just driving, it seems that I have a huge loss in power. It drops the idle from 900 to about 500 and then when taking off it doesn't want to rev and then when i go to shift gears and let the clutch out it jerks very badley. Also when im driving and its on i have no power what so ever.

Any of you guys experiencing this kind of problems? please help.

ISC?

and i'm not talking about a little loss in power like you think, but I'm talking about a huge loss in power.

Okay. Check your ISC.

Other sources of idle problems include fouled spark plugs, a defective or gunked-up idle speed control (ISC) motor, leaking injectors, a cracked vacuum hose, or a damaged intake manifold gasket. High idle can also be caused by a throttle cable or cruise control cables that are too tight.

Then, check your timing.

There are no problems with it running when the a/c is off but as soon as i turn it on, the car runs like crap.

I have the exact same problem. Car runs and idles fine but as soon as the A/C is on the idle drops and its like I have to totally adjust how I shift and there is a noticeable power loss. Curious to know whats going on as well.

Yes, probably because your ISC isn't kicking up the throttle opening to give a faster idle. This could be either the...... wait for it..... ISC, or the ECU.

Is the ISC a servicable part or is it another part to put on the replacement spend 4 months tracking it down list? ROFL
