1G A/C Leak

Need some help guys. Got a leak someplace in my A/C system. I believe it's in the schreader valve on the fill port of my compressor. Can this valve be replaced without pulling the compressor? Satan want's a fortune to replace the compressor, expansion valve, dryer,

I'm pretty mechanically inclined but just have no idea where to start, Links to a "how to" site would be nice.

You could go to the parts store and pick up a a/c dye kit and that will help pin point where your leak(s) are.
