####,
I am wondering if anyone can help me with a problem a friend is having. He has a 99 gs with the 420a motor in a 5 speed. He is having the issue of when he goes to start it the starter stays engaged for a few extra seconds. It has burnt up 2 starters. As far as I can tell the starters teeth and the flywheel look fine. I have looked behind the radion for his starter relay and am not finding relay's there that I would expect. (not the same as in my manual). I am wondering if they changed things in 99 as my manual covers 90-98 and the 99 manual is different. Is the starter controlled through the ecu in one of these models? If anyone has experience with this please give me a heads up

Thanks
