General 99 GSX Revised (with CEL Codes)

Move the spark plug and injector from cylinder two to another cylinder and see if the miss fire code follows.

That's the game plan. I cleared the codes with my QuickLink. Drove it for about 100 miles with no issue. Shut it off to eat some tacos at habanero grill, started it back up, sounded like hell. Checked the code again, and this time it was the 2nd Cyl issue. This was a MAP sensor. Very weird. Cleared the codes again, drove it back and forth, no issues.

Grrrrrr @ intermittent electrical issues

well I finally got my intermittent spark issue fixed where I kept dropping 2 and 3 I just bought a 1g blacktop cas and pigtail and installed it and I have been driving 120+ miles to work and back and haven't had an issue yet.

I replaced my ECU, and new injectors. I can drive all day long with no CEL's. But, as you'll see in my next post, I still sputter out at 4k. I believe the gent that I bought this from has some piping issues as well....

Yes. I replaced everything. Lol I replaced the ECU and that's when most of my issues ultimately went away. I havent had a cyl misfire code since then. I even got it up to about 5500rpms before it was sputtering. I need to get the damn wideband installed and take it to get a tune, as I believe I'm running way rich.
