99 gsx boosting problem

i just got done putting a new garret t25 turbo from millerimport on my gsx. and got everything hooked up and made sure my ic piping was tight. and took her for a spin, it vaccums fine at idle around 10. but when i go to give it gas it only goes up to 0. you can hear the turbo spooling but no boost. im thinking it has something to do with my wastegate iuuno any advice would help thanks guys.

Did you do a boost leak test? Check the waste gate actuator and flapper and make sure its not stuck open.

yea its holding boost how do i check the actuator

10 psi of vacuum seems pretty low at idle. Mine is around 20 psi at idle, check for boost leaks

There's a little elbow on the exhaust housing of the turbo that moves the waste gate flapper. If that is stuck open, then it will eventually build boost but it will take more effort from the car. The waste gate actuator arm slides onto it. It's pretty much a "L" shaped piece on the turbo.

10 vac on an aftermarket gauge? Thats way wrong. Find the leak or fix your timing. Your problems likely lie here and that vac reading points to it. Why did you replace the turbo? How did it run before?

it would only go to 5psi then it would start sputtering out.
