99 eclipse gst oil leak

So i just bought an eclipse gst and replaced the water pump because it was leaking coolant. it no longer leaks coolant but still leaks oil. I found one place that it is coming from which is the front left corner if you are looking at it from the front of the car. It looks like from the head gasket. Its not the valve cover because it is dry and i just replaced it. it leaks pretty bad. i pulled the thermostat housing to look behind it for somewhere that it may be leaking out of the head. after a ten minute drive i had oil all over my transmission case and front of motor. i have never heard of a head gasket leaking only oil. i am new to dsm so im just looking for advice.

It could be from anywhere rule out one and go from there.

sorry for not replying. i had my mechanic look at it and he said head gasket because there is no other place for oil to come from. i currently have it torn down and working on hg replacement and a good cleaning. its kind of hard to see in the pic but its the ledge where the head and block meet

Pretty obvious its the H.G. ## mechanic was rite!!! Same thing happened on my 97' 420a,,, but on back corner. When u get it back 2gether u wont believe the gain in power u will have!!!

yeah when i took the head to the machine shop they guy guessed where it was leaking. thanks for the affirmation. i didn't want to put it back together and have it leak again. that is great news
