hey guys I have a 98 spyder and i have been looking to get an intake and a catback exhaust. Now its only the GS so it has the 2.4L SOHC. I can't find any intakes or catbacks made specifically for this car. If you have any ideas let me know i would appreciate it. Thx.

I did my exhuast custom and its sound awesome. And for your intake you can get any 3g intake and it will work with the MAF. If you want details on the exhuast just ask.:thumb:

thx for the info i will look into the 3G intake. I was looking under my car and the exhaust looks like its in the same locatin as my old gst so i was wondering if i bought a catback for a regular GS if it would fit?

I would think it would be close being they hang very close to the same location but you may have to do some minor modicications due to motor difference. The regular GS has a 2.0L in it not a 2.4L like the Sypders due to ease of manufacturing and backward motor. However the GS-T exhaust my fit better but may need some minor tweeking to. Good luck.

Yes, no problem! In fact I recommend you get a exhaust made for GST, but not GSX!

I wouldn't recommend you get a GS-T exhaust because all of them are 3" and you are going to lose power and torque. For none turbos 2.25" inch will work I even think that the stocl GS-T exhaust (cat-back) might be 2.25" . The GS (420a) cat-back will work on our cars. As for the intake you can get a filter and adapter made for the turbo eclispe not the pipe of course.

just for information the 3g intake does not fit the 2g spyder becuz on the 2g spyder the intake comes out the passenger side of the car and for the 3g intake it is made to come out the driver side. the pipe is too long and doesnt fit with the fuse box in the way.

My friend has a GS spyder and what he did is basically bought some cheap Aluminum piping kit off ebay and a filter and made his own cold air. Works great. Id assume its not harming anything, hes an automotive technician. I would just go that way on the intake problem. Just connect the piping with the rubber boots they give you in the set.
