I have read alot of articles on this and some of them were helpful. I had my 98 head rebuilt w/ Comp Cams and Skunk 2 Adj cam gears. Does anyone have any pointers on things such as the CAS. That seems to be the biggest question everyone has. Sorry to be :beatentodeath: but I want to get this right and any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Everythings the same I believe except the cas, from my understanding you'd have to wire the cas kinda like doing a 6 bolt swap. since the 95s are the only ones with the cas behind the dam cam gear.

My 97 and my friends 98 both had the CAS bolted to the cam gear. But in this case aftermarket cams dont have the bolt hole for the stock CAS. The the biggest problem when going to the 1g CAS is the 1g CAS provides both crank and cam signals to the ecu where the 2g has the Cam sensor for the cam angle and crank sensor for crank position. 2g guys w/ 1g cas inherit a misfire code.

check out http://www.magnusmotorsports.com/tech/1gina2g.pdf This will explain it a little further
