420A 98 Eclipse RS headlight adjustment

Need to adjust my headlights there uneven and I turn the gears and they don't work there not level do I need to take the bulbs out

The adjusters won't move? They rusty or something

Are your lights OEM or eBay replacements?
If they are eBay, those knobs are just for looks.

The lights are original I believe and the plastic knobs just turn and turn back and forth I have the level and can tell they are not level

Are the beams moving at all? Try using a wrench or pliers if the knob doesn't seem to do anything.

I have some aftermarket hid lights and I can't adjust them vertically they need to go down and I see the level when it moves nothing happens I don't know what to turn

There are 2 gears behind the back of the headlight assemblies. Park your car on a flat even surface, pop the hood, adjust the one closest to the radiator for up and down and the one closest to the fender for left and right. For the up and down, you should see a bubble that you'll match up center to get it perfect. For left and right, you'll have to line up the 0 to the line that runs inbetween the square. Easiest headlights to aim imho. Goodluck!
