i have a 97gsx motor in my 95 talon tsi auto i hooked everything up and swapped the sparkplug wires because of the cas thing.....it starts been running for a while and has no check engine light ...the only problem is that it idles funny and feels like its cutting off fuel at part throttle but when i floor it , it flies and runs perfect....so i looked into it and found out that i had to also swap my injector order is this true?

can i just swap them at the head by making the wires longer for the plugs or does it have to be at the ecu?

how do you do this and should i do it , this problem is getting anoying LOL

:ohdamn:

What "CAS thing"? I'm not aware of any differences in cam sensors from 95-97. Maybe you're hitting knock retard? Have you tried switching the wires back? Anyone else shed some light on this?

yes the sensors are different for the 95 and 97, the cam angle sensor for the 95 is unter the intake cam gear (and you need a 95 cam gear to make it work) the 97's have it on the other side, pm me if you need more help with this i just finished doing it

I just did this too but opposite because it was a 95 motor in a 98. It's way easier to swap the pins at the ecu.

Do this:
Green: Pin 1 is now 14
Green w/ yellow stripe: Pin 2, is now Pin 1
Green w/ red stripe: Pin 15, is now Pin 2
Yellow w/ black stripe: Pin 14 is now Pin 15
Here are the instructions: RRE Instructions

oh and with the injectors i used the same ones from before i swapped the engines that was on the old motor and my car runs fine
