97 gst. oil pressure concern

my 97 gst is seeming like the oil pressure is running a little too high. i'm just concerned that there's a problem. yes, probably a stupid question. but maybe all dsm motors are running they're oil pressure the same.
On my stock oil pressure gauge, the meter is over the oil can symbol.

is this alright? what could cause this if it's not normal. please help

take a look at your owners manual.. it shows a pic and says exactly where your oil pressure should be.. it can vary..
