97 ECU in a 95?

Hey I found a person who is completely unaware of what eprom ecu's are and I wanted to know if I could just swap my ECU(1997 GS-T) with his ECU(1995 GS-T) with out any drivablity problems.

im pretty sure you can just stick an eprom ecu into ur 97 gst. how else are u suppose to run a dsmlink without one? so my guess is that its interchangeable.

Yes you can use it. I would make sure it is an eprom though, otherwise you'll be trading for nothing.
You will have to switch the spark plugs wires: 1 with 2 and 3 with 4.

My question is will his 1995 be ok with with my 1997 ecu in it? Will I have to change the order of the sparkplug wires as well on his car?

yes, ur 97 ecu will be no problem working with his car. not all 95' models came with eprom.

i dont think its that simple .. slappin yer 97 ECU in his car. i think its a little more involded then that. off hand im pretty sure ya gota change the plug wires.. and swap the injector pins at the ECU plug. 95's also use a diff style CAS. id loook into it more if i was you.

1995s use EPROM, I don't think the 97s do.

Im in the same situation, I have a 95 and my ecu was stolen, I found a 97 one and I bought.

I already swapped the spark plug wires, 1-2 3-4 but the car don't start.
it bucks a little but don't start.

what else can I try?
