97 2gnt ECU in a 95

Would it be plug and play to put a 97 2gnt ECU in a 95 or are they different because of the different fuel systems? I'm just wondering because I might buy a 97 ECU so I can run that engine management system that is only compatible with the 97 ECUs.

what management only runs on the 97 ecus? that wouldnt make much sence to make to only do programming for one year of vehicles

Well now that I look at it again, it seems that it is actually the computer they sell and it's only for the 97 model for some reason. Here is the link for it. It reprogrammed by AF/X.

interesting to say the least...i wonder if thats the year car they used to tune it, so they say its for 97 so they wont have any liability if people put it into other 2g cars...

did you read the warning at the end?

Warning: at the RPM this unit is capable of, you should have uprocker arms / lash adjusters (DOHC), and stiffer-than-stock valve springs toprevent valve float and resultant damage!- Requires 93 octane fuel (at altitudes up to 4,000 ft.) or octane booster.More octane required with compression increase.- Very wide ability to adapt to modifications as you make them. These computers take 4 to 6 weeks to program and are for the 97 cars only.

Yeah I have no idea. I mean, I could understand if it was for the cars that had the later fuel system which started in 1/96 I believe, but it doesn't make sense to me why it would be for ONLY 97 cars.
