Whats wrong with the angle on a Trash can muffler? i think it looks better than just having it stick out straight, if i had bought the GST replica then i would have it straight but i think the angle is nice on these

its all a matter of opinion and i definatly do not like them. but if you do then go for it.

remus is very, very good exaust.they will even make civics sound good!!however we don't all have that kind of cash.magnaflows are very nice too and a little more afordable but not really loud.i personally have a powertech from dynamic auto design and i higly recomend it for the budget tuner like myself. no rice. nice low tone anf rumble.euro sound "remus like " if you will.ive had it for over a year and ive bumped it a whole bunch of times and still sounds great.oh keep the stock piping or else you will get the ricey sound no matter what muffler you use.(my opinion and the muffler's shop too)this goes for n/t' s only ovously.peace

OVERPRICED!

same results for 1/2 the price, going custom makes sense to me. the only thing you dont get is the name Greddy on it... which is what you pay that extra $300 for!

Wrong.

A 2.5" cat-back from Greddy will flow better simply because exhaust shops press bend the exhaust instead of mandrel.

shit, for only $300 more i could have gotten another horse out of it!

what do you get from a cat back, 5hp? so with this pressed bend i only got 4 out of it. i really dont think its going to make that big of a difference.

It will if he decides to go with forced induction.

but were talking NT here. and even if he does go forced induction its not going to make that big of a difference. and with that money he saved he could buy some nice goodies to accent that forced induction and make up for those lost ponies, which would be how many, 3, maybe 4?

The greddy also has resonators which help cut out the weed wacker sound.

my "weed wacker" sound is only bad if i push my car when the engine is cold. once its warm, those crackles disapear and its a nice deep growl. i love it. and for $300, ill take the crackles for the first 5 minutes. plus, for like $50 i could put in a resonator to stop them.

Depending on how they bent it, your exhaust could go back down to 2" at the bends. An exhaust system only flows as good as the smallest point. So in other words you'd basically have to have the shop bend you a 3" to equal the Greddy. The Greddy is 2.5" all the way through. Sorry, but if you payed $300 for everything, then I (personally) would chip out the extra money and get a proven exhaust system.

the extra money would be twice as much as i paid. another $300. and who has proven it? its piping and a muffler, its not rocket science. thanks for the advice but ill stick with mine, im very happy with it. :thumb:

Dyno's have proven it, their r&d team researches the best flow for the exhaust system. And this isn't just greddy but any major company. Plus they usually use stainless steel, the piping that exhaust shops typically will rust.

i always spend the extra money for the name brand proven product, like i spent more to get the AEM CAI. but i cant justify spending twice as much for the proven product. like i said im happy with its sound, its power improvements, its not rusting and the stainless steel muffler is still shining. im happy.

If you're happy then that's all that really matters.

I have apex N1 muffler on stock piping if I were to get 2.5" piping would it change the sound at all?
