2G '96 Spyder GS Front CV Axles

I'm currently ordering new front CV axles since one boot ripped (Might as well replace both axles). I don't have ABS but was wondering if ABS CV axles are compatible? Specifically, the APWI MI8042A and MI8045A from Rockauto.

ABS axles will work. the only difference is the ABS axles have an ABS rotor on them.

If the axle is still good you can just replace the boot and fill it up with grease. That way you can save some money for some other parts.

The problem is idk how long it’s been ripped for. When I discovered all the grease from the ripped boot, also noticed the strut was making contact with the axle.

Thanks everyone, I’ll be getting the ABS axles if I don’t just swap the boot. Any ideas how the strut is able to rest on the axle?

the only thing i could think of that would allow the strut to touch the axle would be if the tab (circled in pic) broke off and the bolt on the fork was loose.
